Potty Time!

While Saige isn't quite 100% there yet, she's darn close! Shortly after she turned two she made it clear she was done with diapers! Just in the last few weeks it's all clicked and she's been using the potty fairly consistently. We're so proud of our girl!

July 4th in Mt. Shasta

We had a great time visiting Grandma Julie and Uncle Jeff in Mt. Shasta! Celebrating the 4th of July festivities with Saige made it even that much more fun! She LOVED the parade and The Walk!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAIGE!

TWO, two, 2! Our girl is 2! How did this happen? One minute she's a tiny baby and the next she's a walking, talking, personality filled kid!

Saige is all about birthday parties! Balloons, presents, party hats.... she loves it all! So of course she was in heaven on her day! We threw her a classic party in the backyard with lots of great friends and family in attendance.

So to gloat a for moment.... Saige is doing great. She's still big - 32 pounds and almost 3 feet tall. This puts her in the 80th percentile for height and 90th for weight. And my-oh-my is she talking! She's putting short sentences together and able to say just about any word - from lemonade to xylophone she can say it! In the last week or so she's transitioned to referring to herself in the first person ("I" or "me") instead of always referring to herself as "Saigie." She's a tough kid, with an amazing pain threshold - she'll take some amazing tumbles and pop right back up with a smile on her face. We've had to put her in a few timeouts as she's began to experiment with with the level of disobedience Mommy and Daddy will let her get away with.

Everyday we are flabbergasted by how smart she is. For only being on this earth for two years it's amazing how fast a little tyke can learn! Saige can now count to 14 (minus 11), sing the alphabet song and identify almost all the letters of the alphabet. She knows all her colors, shapes and every animal on the planet.

All in all life with Saige is easier than ever.... she sleeps great, eats anything, doesn't put every random thing in her mouth anymore and doesn't need to be watched every second for fear of her tumbling off something. She is the apple of her daddy's eye and the heart of her mama. We adore her!

Orcas Island Trip

We went on a great family vacation to one of our favorite places, Orcas Island. Saige went on her first ferry and boat ride, Clif caught some fish, and we all got some much needed R&R.

OCEAN!

Terra and Saige just got back from a great trip to Santa Barbara and Pismo Beach! We saw Grandpa Steve (aka Paba), Grandma Marti (aka Grandma Party), Great-Grandma Rita and Great-Grandpa John.

Saige LOVED the ocean! She had no hesitation at all and gleefully ran into the waves where she got splashed and wet. She was a piece-of-cake to fly with and did great on the plane, except for the embarrassing moments when she kept pointing to the older Chinese man sitting behind us and saying "Sleeping! Sleeping!" (he was wide awake but just had small eyes). I guess now that she's talking we need to get used to her saying embarrassing things in public!

And she's off!
