Just when we thought life couldn't get any better along came Saige! We welcomed our beautiful daughter on July 1, 2009 at 4:32 AM. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 19.5 inches long. We feel so blessed to have her in our lives and to share such love!

11 Months Old!

Only 1 month until the big ONE! Can't believe how fast this year is going!

It seems that Saige has been growing and developing at warp speed this past month. Everyday, maybe even every hour, she is doing something new. A few highlights....

- First words - We'd hoped Saige's first real words would be "Mama" or "Dada." We thought for sure her first word would be "Tica." But noooo.... her first word is "Kitty!" Clear as can be, everytime she sees Lovebug she says "Key-eeee!!!" and points. In fact, she says Key-eeee whenever she sees any cat. Another one of her words is yum-yum. Her favorite food is cheese and whenever she eats it she'll chant "um, um, um, um." Saige frequently says Mama and Dada too but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why she's saying it. Hopefully by the next update....

- Speed Crawler - Saige can crawl so fast now! Her little butt wiggles from side to side as she bombs around from room to room. So cute. She's also pulling herself up to a standing position and lunging from one piece of furniture to another.

- Eebble-Beeble Master - We'll get a video posted soon to explain this one.

- Copycatter. Saige will clap, wave, blow, shake her head, scrunch her face and do her eeble-beebles after someone else does it. Infact, you just have to say the word and she'll do it!

And we must give a special thanks to Grandpa Steve for teaching Saige to play peek-a-boo with her bib. Saige now flips her bib (filled with food no less) over her head after every meal... Good trick Grandpa!
