Saige is 8 weeks old today! And she likes to talk!

Mt. Shasta Trip

Saige and Terra just got back from visiting Grandma Julie, Great Grandma Barbara and lots of friends in Mt. Shasta.

They flew down - Saige was an angel on the plane! Never made a peep on any of the flights. She's such a good baby.

It was great seeing everyone!

6 weeks old and all smiles!

One Month Old!

Today we celebrate the 1 month anniversary of Saige's birth. In this past month we've quickly adjusted to being a family of three and can't imagine life any other way.

Saige is doing great! In one month she's mastered the following:

- Smiles! Big smiles abound if you talk and tickle her.
- Cooing! She's just started making adorable little sounds.

- Focus! Saige will focus her vision and can recognize faces and objects. She especially likes to look at plants.

- Eating! Yes, she's an eater. She doesn't need much assistance now from Mom to find the good stuff - she knows what to do all by herself!

Physically Saige has changed a lot too. There are little chub rolls on her legs and wrists and she's acquired quite a double chin. Her belly is getting big too! Her blonde hair is getting long and her blue eyes seem to keep getting bigger and brighter.

We feel blessed to have such a good baby. When she's hungry at night she'll make funny grunting sounds but it's rare for her to cry. She doesn't cry when having her diaper changed either. All in all she's happy with a sweet disposition.

We are so lucky!

The Family

2 Weeks Old!

Today Saige had her 2 week check-up. The doctor says she's doing great! She now weighs 9 pounds, 1 ounce! This is amazing considering she weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces at birth. She's also grown 2 1/2 inches.

Clif and Terra can't remember what life was like before their little Sweet Saige came along. In these last two weeks Clif, Terra and Saige have all learned so much! It's like the three of them are all on the same team - each learning about one another and teaching each other new things. It's an amazing experience!

Saige has already changed so much. She's getting a pudgy belly and little chub rolls. Her vision has improved so she can lock eyes with you and will occasionally give a big grin. All in all she's a good baby - she doesn't have crying fits for no apparent reason. But she does let you know when she's hungry! Which seems like all the time - just like her mom and dad she loves to eat!

She'll usually sleep for several 3 hour blocks of time during the night, although she still stays up late and sleeps in. This is fine for Terra who can sleep in with her but not so good for Clif who now has to get up early for work.

11 Days Old

In just 11 short days, our little Saige has grown and changed so much. We went to the pediatrician on Day 6 and found that she'd already exceeded her birth weight - she weighed in at 8 pounds! (she was 7 pd 10 oz at birth). When we measured her she'd also grown an inch and half. Big Girl!

Saige now can focus her vision and will occasionally lock eyes with you. She'll also grin and get a multitude of other darling facial expressions. She's a cutie!
