Baby's Room

Clif and Terra have finished painting the baby's room! Unfortunately these pictures don't show the clouds very well. The grass stems and clouds were hand painted and the flowers and butterflies are wall decals. Baby's not even here yet and she's getting spoiled! More pictures to come once the room is decorated......

Hiccups!

Terra just felt the baby get the hiccups! It doesn't feel like a kick, but rather just like a hiccup in your belly! Silly baby :)

The First Kick

Clif can probably say that he's the first dad in the world that felt his baby kick before Mom.

For the last couple of weeks Terra has been eagerly awaiting the feel of her baby's first kick. She'd been feeling all sorts of streching and twinges, but nothing that stood out as "The First Kick." Then, low and behold, on Friday night Clif had his hand resting on her belly when he jumped and said "did you feel that?!?" Then he felt it again. Terra, being daft, didn't feel anything until she too put her hand on her belly. And finally, after all the waiting, she felt her daughter kick! Now that Terra knows what to expect she's feeling the kicks all the time. It's a great feeling!

Only 4 more months til the real kicks begin!

It's a.....

G I R L !!!

It's official! We're having a girl! This now confirms Terra's intuition all along that the baby was going to be a girl. Today we went from "having a baby" to "having a daughter." It was a great day!

Our darling daughter has already shown her ability to give her poor parents anxiety. One of Terra's preliminary blood tests showed some possible red flags for chromosomal defects. For 3 long days we worried until further tests showed that all was normal; our little girl is healthy! As a reward for the anxiety she put us through the additional tests allowed us to learn the sex 3 weeks earlier than originally expected. So we got good news twice today - a healthy baby, and it's a girl!

Mama Terra

Terra at 16 weeks! She's looking like a pregnant lady! After this night she officially decided that she'd only wear maternity clothes, as breathing in these jeans was impossible.
